July and August have been busy months for us here at Butterflies. The main thing that’s happened is that our committee has dropped from four members to two members. That means that we’ve had to put a lot of thought into what the future of Butterflies holds.

The main focus has been that there’s no way we’re giving up on Butterflies. Anne and I still believe wholeheartedly that Butterflies is a worthwhile effort and that we have done (and can still do) many things to help people in Derbyshire find information about ADHD and find support in the county.

What it does mean is that we’ll have to refocus on the core of what Butterflies was founded to do – and that’s provide a place where support groups can share information and where people can come to find or start support groups in their area.

Butterflies has always relied on information being provided to us by the community, and that won’t change. We can look around the internet and get some information from the wider community, but we still need families and professionals to send us their experiences and their information.

So our plans for world domination are on hold at the moment. :-)

We’ll be updating the website again soon with some new functionality (which was the main reason for the recent redesign). We’re hoping that the ability for support group leaders to add and maintain their own content will be ready soon.
